Magical Peanut Butter Cookies
I saw on another blog that I am subscribed to, they had made flourless peanut butter cookies. Instantly, it sounded delicious. I wish I could find who it was. and give credit where credit is due. If it’s you, and you recently blogged about them, tell me so I can link to you!
I went on the hunt for a good peanut butter cooke recipe that was easy and tried and true.
This brought me to Paula Deen’s website and to these delicious cookies.
The time it takes to make these cookies is literally five minutes to mix the batter and the most time is in the baking.
They are absolutely delicious as well! Everyone in my family loved them and even my younger brother demand I make more.
Onto the recipe so you all can try it yourselves, and I do recommend it! Easy, delicious, and did I mention easy?
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter, creamy or crunchy (I used creamy)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a large baking sheet. (I just used parchment paper)
In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, the egg, and vanilla, and stir well with a spoon. Roll the dough into balls the size of walnuts. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet. With a fork, dipped in sugar to prevent sticking, press a crisscross design on each cookie. Bake for 12 minutes, remove from the oven, and sprinkle the cookies with some of the remaining sugar. Cool slightly before removing from pan.
Yield: 18 cookies
Prep time: 10-15 minutes
Inactive prep time: 3-5 minutes
Cook time: 12 minutes
Seriously, try these! They’re so good!
